Ali Tayyebi

Mercer 

Ali is a Senior Partner and a member of Mercer's Retirement, Risk and Finance business leadership team in the UK. He is also the DB Risk Leader for the UK and is responsible for developing Mercer's consulting capabilities to help clients identify a structured approach to developing a de-risking strategy and then implement the variety of solutions available.

He works with a portfolio of his own clients either as a corporate actuarial adviser or as a Scheme Actuary to advise them in this area and these clients cover a range of industry sectors and size from £150m to £4bn. Ali has been involved in putting in place Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) funding arrangements and advising in relation to Enhanced Transfer Value (ETV) and Pension Increase Exchange Exercises. As corporate adviser, Ali is often involved in negotiating with trustees on behalf of the employer on benefit strategy and funding arrangements.

Ali has been with Mercer since leaving Oxford University with a first class degree in Mathematics in 1990.
